Think Differently for More Power |
|
It's amazing how so many people who want greater strength would rather do the same thing over even if it doesn't warrant greater results simply because the old way feels comfortable, is well trodden, and they don't have to struggle to learn something new that that has an unknown track record. It's more rewarding for them to get the same mediocre results over and over because they think it's normal, it's part of the process.
There are tremendous rewards for those that dare to think different - from strength and speed training to business to entertainment and even to the invention of man being able to fly.
We've been brought up to believe that will and force can achieve anything.
But, let's go back two schools of thinking. One that changed the world and the other; the other forgotten. Back in 1903, a man by the name of Samuel Pierpont Langley was trying to build an airplane with a staff of industrious people. Ever heard of him? Probably not. And, there's a reason for that, because at the same time, two brothers by the name of Orville and Wilbur Wright were struggling to create the world's first airplane too.
Mr. Langley and his team focused on the idea that if they could create a big and powerful enough engine and attach it to a structure - it would certainly fly.
The Wright brothers, worked on efficiency and economy of power. They were building something of a glider and that it's power wouldn't come from just the pure force of man-made power. Their emphasis was on balance and steering knowing that the power would come as long as they're design was aligned with the forces of Mother Nature. They worked with the idea that if they could create something that could utilize the forces of Mother Nature, only then would they put an engine on it to power it through the air.
They failed for three years trying to blaze their own trail - thinking outside the envelope as it were. Their persistence paid off though and only then did they commission a bicycle shop machinist by the name of Charlie Taylor to build them an engine. To Mr. Langley, this was the backwards way to do it.
We all know who won this race, don't we? Even though Mr. Langley worked just as diligently with a huge staff, it was the two brothers who put together and flew the world's first airplane at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Virtually no one remembers Mr. Langley, and his massive engines that were supposed to give man flight through pure will and the power of force.
The Wright Brothers were successful because of they didn't concentrate on just amplifying force. First, they put their efforts into creating right structure that would harness and work in synergistic harmony with natural forces instead of just man-made ones. They wanted to create something different and that in itself starts from a different starting point - it takes a different kind of thinking.
So many athletes approach speed and strength much like Mr. Langley thinking that more muscle, more of the same drills over and over, more willpower or just more of the same is going to give them the exceptional results they seek. Sadly, they're most often disappointed, because that approach most often leads to mental and physical tension, quicker exhaustion, and less power.
Why did it take so long for Man to fly when all the materials to make the first plane were readily available for centuries? Different thinking and utilization of all the elements to create a better outcome.
Our bodies and brains are waiting for us to create new things. New horizons await us. We have all the materials available to us right now. However, it will take different thinking from what we know already.
That's why CoreForce Energy strives to engage you to think differently, to move differently, and to feel differently.
